Mr. Siradej Donavanik is the Interim Managing Director for Dusit Hospitality Education. In addition to his duties for Dusit Hospitality Education he also serves as Managing Director for ASAI and Vice President for Development at Dusit International. His main responsibilities include developing new projects and strategic partnerships in both hotels and education sector for the company. In recent years, he is also tasked to handle and support other strategic investments, including technology start-ups, in health & wellness and food retail.
Beside continuing the legacy of the family’s business, Mr. Donavanik started his own restaurant business in 2013, and helped launch a Thailand-based social enterprise that promotes environmental sustainability through arts.
Mr. Donavanik graduated from the University of Exeter, UK in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economic and Political Development. Prior to joining Dusit International, he trained as an analyst and investment banker with brokerage and securities firm, Trinity Securities. He subsequently joined HSBC Thailand as an Assistant to the Premier Relationship Development Manager until joining Dusit in 2009 as Assistant Manager of Investment and Development.
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Singapore national Ms Shirley Lim has over 20 years of private and public sector experience in the fields of business innovation consultancy, manpower policy and development, as well as tourism industry development.
Prior to joining Dusit in 2018, she was the Principal Specialist at the Singapore Tourism Board where she managed the manpower policy and development portfolio for the hotel industry. She worked closely with hotel stakeholders in the areas of marketing, manpower and talent development, service improvements and technology adoption.
She also spent a number of years in the field of consulting with Accenture and The Idea Factory, where she worked on local, regional and international projects ranging from corporate planning, training, business and organisation transformation.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore
Managing Director – DHMC
As Managing Director of the Dusit Hospitality Management College Manila and dusitD2 the Fort, Lars Eltvik is tasked with overseeing the operations of both the College and the dusit D2 hotel at Bonifacio Global City. He has been with the Dusit Hospitality Education since 2015 as Managing Director based in Bangkok, Thailand, responsible for preparing the Dusit Hospitality Education for international expansion.
Mr. Eltvik’s career in international hospitality education and operations spans more than 30 years. He started his hospitality career in his native Norway. Prior to joining Dusit, Mr. Eltvik served as the Managing Director of HAAGA-HELIA Global Education Services Ltd., in Helsinki, Finland from 2011 to 2015, responsible for Haaga-Helia University’s internationals developments. He served there as Director of Marketing for International Markets 2009 to 2011.
From 2001 to 2009, he worked for Jumeirah International at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management in a number of positions – as an instructor, lecturer and later responsible for business development as the Director of Sales and Marketing from 2005 to 2009.
Mr. Eltvik holds a Master Degree (MSc) in Tourism Planning and Development from University of Surrey, United Kingdom; a Degree in Hotel Administration from Norwegian School of Hotel Management (Now Stavanger University) and a Diploma in Export Marketing from Norwegian School of Marketing, Oslo, Norway.
President – Dusit Thani College / Director of Operations – Thailand
Dr. Sarote is the President of Dusit Thani College and Director of Operations in Thailand for Dusit Hospitality Education.
Dr Sarote has more than 20 years experience in teaching and research in leadership development, managing for productivity, business negotiations and across a variety of management subjects. He has been engaged in numerous international consulting activities both for private and public sectors. His specialty includes designing and conducting management development programs with focus on strategic management, executive career advancement as well as leadership in ASEAN studies.
Dr. Sarote earned his PhD in Management Studies – Organizational Behavior from the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of Surrey, UK.
Born in 1949 and of Dutch nationality, Ruud has a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management (Hotel School The Hague, the Netherlands) and a Master’s degree in Business Law (Erasmus University, the Netherlands). He worked in many operational positions in the hospitality industry in the Netherlands and Ireland.
In 1977 Ruud was appointed Director of Human Resources of a hospital in Haarlem, the Netherlands. In 1980 he joined Hotel School The Hague, first as a professor o Human Resources and Hospitality Law, later as Member of the Board of Directors. In 1997, he was appointed as Dean of the Hotel School The Hague.
Ruud became CEO of the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (Hotel school Lausanne), Switzerland in 2002 and as of 2005 he combined this with his position of Academic Director at the same school.
Since 2011, Ruud has been involved in a number of international projects, mainly in hospitality education strategy development and implementation: Switzerland, Thailand, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Bhutan, India, Kenya and Tanzania. He works for and with renowned organizations, such as Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland, Dusit International and the Aga Khan University, Kenya.
Ruud is a board member of the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management in Dubai and Lausanne Hospitality Consulting SA, a company of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. Furthermore he is a member of the Advisory Boards of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Director of e-Learning and Development
British national Zeph Norrish is responsible for the development and implementation of the Dusit Hospitality Education blended and digital learning strategies, including content and platform development. He drives new curriculum development and regulatory compliance for international education projects, as well as leading in 21st century pedagogical development, teacher training and faculty development programmes.
Zeph started his career in technologies. After qualifying with a first class honors in electronic engineering from London Metropolitan University, he progressed into engineering management in the networking industry. Zeph started his career in teaching and learning in Thailand in 2000 before moving into academic leadership as Director of Quality and Curriculum for Technology and Business in one of the UK’s largest FE colleges.
As a lifelong learner, he qualified with a post-graduate certificate in education from Canterbury Christchurch University, UK, as an accredited assessor with the Chartered Management Institute, as an advanced learning coach and a Qualified Learning Facilitator from Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland.
